People of Aberdeen are being encouraged to take part in a new engagement on multiple strategies that together aim to shape the future of the city.
The “Your Place, Your Plans, Your Future” engagement, is being launched next Monday (24 March) and follows on from the “Your Place; Your Plans” engagement in 2023, it will support future setting of priorities for Community Planning Aberdeen partners.
Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader Councillor Christian Allard said: “This is the chance for everyone to share what is most important to you, your community and the city as a whole. Your ideas for making things better will inform multiple strategies at the same time.
“I encourage everyone to take part and help make a difference to the city, local communities, and to help improve lives.”
Susan Webb, NHS Grampian Director of Public Health and vice-chair of Community Planning Aberdeen, said: "This is an exciting opportunity for people in Aberdeen to influence strategies on a range of important matters, including health & social care, housing, and local development. Whether it's attending one of the engagement events or taking part online, I would strongly encourage everyone in the city to have their say."
The consultation will have a particular focus on the Local Housing Strategy, Health and Social Care Partnership Strategic Plan, Community Learning and Development Plan, and the next Local Outcome Improvement Plan, Local Development Plan, and Locality Plans.
Priorities will be aligned using the Place Standard tool, a nationally-approved tool to assist with long-term planning that promotes conversations about how to improve people’s health, wellbeing and quality of life.
