Public Protection is a broad term that encompasses the safety and wellbeing of our local communities and neighbourhoods and ourselves as citizens and residents.
It is regrettable that there are people - of all ages - who are being harmed or are at risk of being harmed. This harm can take many forms but they all have a negative impact on the individuals who experience it and in some cases this impact can be significant.
Whether you are an individual who receives a care service, an unpaid carer, a professional practitioner, a provider or a member of the public, we all have a responsibility to act on any concerns that we may have and report these to appropriate persons so that inquiries can be undertaken and where necessary put appropriate safeguards in place.
