Here on our website you can find information on what we do, how we do it and who to contact about it. You can see details of all our services or use the search facility to look for particular information.
If you need any help finding what you are looking for or with downloading information please contact us.
Available information includes the kinds of information, or classes of information, outlined in the model publication scheme from the Scottish Information Commissioner. If you want to know more about this, please go to our About the Legislation page.
If you cannot, or do not want to, access the information online we can make alternative arrangements for you. For example, we can make the information available for inspection at our premises. Or we can usually arrange to send information to you in paper copy (although there may be a charge for this). We will charge you no more than it actually costs us to do so, and we will always tell you what the cost is before providing the information to you. Please note, Open Data (see below) can only be accessed online. There is no facility to inspect it at our premises, or to have paper copies of it sent out.

If Aberdeen City Council does not hold the copyright in any information we publish, we will make this clear.
How to access information which Aberdeen City Council does not publish
Aberdeen City Council does not publish all of its information on our website. You can make a request for information which is not published.
If you can’t find what you are looking for, or are having any problems accessing information, you can contact us, we will be happy to help.
Open Data
Open Data is data that is free for anyone to access, use and share. To make this easier it is published in formats that can be read by computers as well as by people. We publish our open data on the dedicated Aberdeen City Council Spatial Open Data Portal.
We are striving to become an organisation where data is open by default so the amount, and type, of data that is published as open data will increase over time. To suggest something that you would like to see published as open data, please email: gis@aberdeencity.gov.uk
