eBooks and eMagazines

Borrowbox allows you to browse, borrow and download eBooks and eAudiobooks from the comfort of your own home or when you are out and about. Watch this video for details on how to download and use the BorrowBox app.

Oxford Very Short Introductions Database offers the chance to read a selection of the popular series of books "Very Short Introductions". So whether it is mathematics, nutrition, British politics or contemporary art this resource is the perfect way to get ahead in a new subject.

PressReader contains more than 7,000 publications from over 120 countries. Browse digital editions of newspapers and magazines in over 60 languages using the dedicated app or on any internet enabled device.

You will soon need your PIN as well as your library card number to log in to PressReader. This is the one you use to log on to library computers or access your account online. If you are unsure of your PIN please speak to a member of library staff.

 

Newspapers

British Newspaper Archive contains millions of pages of historical news content, including The Press and Journal (1748 - 1975) and The Evening Express (1879 - 1975) and enables keyword searching. The website offers the ability to download and save articles in PDF format.
