The main parade will set off at 5.30pm from Albyn Place to Castlegate, led by the Lord Provost and Mayor of Stavanger Mrs Sissel Knudsen Hegdal, with each set of lights being turned on simultaneously as they pass.
The parade will feature familiar favourites such as Santa and Rudolph, as well as panto characters from various Aberdeen productions, festive floats, music performances from Rock Choir and Aberdeen Churches Together, local charities, sports groups and community organisations led by the Grampian and District Pipes and Drums.
Aberdeen's Christmas Tree, gifted from our twin city of Stavanger in Norway, will also be lit.
