How we use your information
Aberdeen City Council wants to ensure that diverse views shape services for people in Aberdeen, so that all people can prosper regardless of their background or circumstances.
The Equality Outcomes are our commitment to ensuring that Aberdeen City Council provides fair and equitable services across all our operations under the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED). The outcomes aim to help eliminate discrimination, advance equal opportunities and foster good relations between diverse groups of people.
Under the Equality Act 2010, Aberdeen City Council must produce a set of new outcomes every 4 years, and a progress report after 2 years.
The Equality Outcomes consultation will be held from 23rd December 2024 to 3rd February 2025. The consultation will be carried out through a combination of online and face-to-face surveys and focus groups.
You are invited to share your views on the progress made on the equality priorities for the period 2021-25. Your views will also help develop the new outcomes for 2025-2029.
The results of the consultation will be reported to Anti-Poverty and Inequality Committee in March 2025 and will also be shared within other council committees and published on our website. The report will not contain any information that personally identifies you.
How long we keep your information
Responses will be kept for a year after we have published the Equality Outcome report and new outcomes. The resulting report will be available on Aberdeen City Council’s website and will be kept permanently.
