What?
Creative Practitioner Opportunity – We are seeking applications from creative practitioners to join our pool of facilitators for our Baby Boogie sessions in Cowdray Hall. Our Baby Boogie facilitator leads the session and acts as the ‘MC’ for the event.
Baby Boogie is a daytime disco experience for our youngest audience (0-5 years) and their families. Set to live DJ music, children are encouraged to express themselves through dance and movement while engaging with inflatables, sensory aids and play equipment.
These sessions form part of our public programme and benefit from an established intergenerational audience which includes children, parents, grandparents and other family members. Baby Boogie has been running since 2019 and regularly attracts audiences of up to 150 people.
We are looking to recruit facilitators who can engage children and their families through movement, dance and participatory activities. The role includes welcoming families, leading participatory group activities, engaging with individuals and smaller groups throughout the session, and supporting Aberdeen Archives, Gallery & Museums (AAGM) staff to ensure play equipment is set-up and packed-up at the beginning and end of the session. The role will work alongside a freelance DJ and a member of AAGM staff to deliver the session.
We’re interested in working with creative practitioners who will build on the strengths of our current offer and contribute their own ideas to the future development of the sessions.
