Self-guided visits at our venues
Teacher-led class visits to our venues are a great way to engage with the collections and learn about creativity, local heritage and people from the Northeast of Scotland who have shaped the city and changed the world.

ARTIST ROOMS Louise Bourgeois – Secondary School Workshops
We’re offering free schools' workshops in May to complement this exhibition which focuses on Louise Bourgeois’ last 20 years, when she explored the themes of identity, gender childhood family and memory. These sessions are for secondary school aged learners.

Summer Sessions: Let’s Talk about Art

Young people aged 15 to 18 are invited to join Dr Hans Hones, of the University of Aberdeen, and our art curators for three mornings of informal discussions and activities exploring art history themes. You don’t need to know much about art to enjoy these sessions – they will be useful to those studying Art and Design, History and Media, or for anyone interested in talking about art.
