Dudendance present Alien Species

aagmAlienSpecies-homepage

What would a new alien species look like if plastics mutated into living beings? Dudendance bring a new site-responsive production to Aberdeen Art Gallery with spectacular costumes inspired by what ecologists call “non-native species”, some with internal skeletal structures that can be shed, shaped and transformed in tandem with the elements.

In this special promenade performance, audience groups will be guided around the Art Gallery. Meet in front of the building, and please bring a smartphone if you have one as the soundtrack will be delivered via URL. A number of headsets will be available (please supply your own if your phone does not connect via jack).

Alien Species is a collaboration between Dudendance and designer Heather MacCrimmon, musician Fiona Soe Paing and performers Alima Askew, Paul Rous, Petra Pennington, Harvey Lancaster Rous, Cathi Sell, Rowan Gane and Harris Williamson.

Please note: Music will be provided on headphones and players - please collect at reception desk. Or meeting point or front desk
