Talk by Dr Abeer Eladany, Curatorial Assistant, University of Aberdeen Museums and Special Collections
Looking for connections to Egypt has been a continuous and personal project for Abeer since she moved to the Granite City. It provides comfort and links to her home in Cairo. But are there any visible connections? You will be surprised to know the extent of shared histories and artistic representation across the city and within its museum collections. How can this contribute to the different views of Aberdeen and how it is connected to the current exhibition! Join us in this lunch time talk to see how Aberdeen can provide comfort and connections to new Aberdonians. This is part of the PATH Project which is funded by the Heritage Fund Lottery.
