Hannah is currently in 6th year at St Margaret’s School for Girls and is studying Advanced Higher Spanish and Music. Alongside this, she is doing a Foundation Apprenticeship in Social Services, Children and Young People, which is giving her the opportunity to study part-time in college as well as complete a placement in a Primary 1/2 class at a primary school in Portlethen. Hannah is a member of the Aberdeen Chamber (Youth) Orchestra and is currently working towards the ARSM Oboe Diploma, which she will sit next month. She has accepted a place to study Primary Teaching at the University of Dundee next year and hopes to join the Dundee Symphony Orchestra.
Tyler Martin, violin
Tyler is 17 year old from Aberdeenshire and will be studying classical music performance at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) starting later this year in the autumn. He started playing traditional Scottish violin from age 7 years old and at 14 decided to start learning classical violin. Tyler is currently being taught by Aden Mazur as the Wee Music School and Guera Crockett at the North East of Scotland Music School (NESMS). He continues to play in a few local groups such as the Aberdeen City Orchestra (ACO), the ACO Youth Ensemble and with the Banchory Strathspey and Reel Society.
Shirley Magill, piano
Shirley is Director of Music at St Margaret’s School for Girls. She also plays the clarinet and is a keen arranger of music for orchestras and ensembles
