LUX Scotland is a non-profit agency which supports, develops and promotes artists’ moving image practices in Scotland. Over the coming months, LUX Scotland will be running a free professional development programme of workshops, screenings and discussions to support early-career artists and recent graduates in Aberdeen to strengthen their professional networks, confidence and knowledge of contemporary moving image practices. The programme is supported by Aberdeen City Council Creative Funding.

 

LUX Scotland: Online Writing workshops

Join Calum Sutherland and Kiah Endelman Music of Glasgow-based Nothing Personal Magazine. The workshops will talk about the formation of Nothing Personal Magazine and its relationship to criticality and the Scottish art scene. The first session will centre on the field of art writing, the scope and focus of the magazine and the essay as a generative critical form. The second will look more closely at responding to artworks developing strategies for review writing and the ethics of editing.
