Martin Parr has been dubbed ‘chronicler’ of our age. His humorous, colourful and wryly critical photographs relate to all of lives. They make us see the things that seem familiar in a completely new way.
Think of Scotland was developed over a 25-year period in which Martin Parr visited locations across the length and breadth of the country, exploring leisure, landscape, food and community. Aberdeen at Leisure was specially commissioned by Aberdeen Art Gallery. Over several visits to the city, Parr photographed Aberdonians in locations as diverse as sporting venues, places of worship and nightclubs.
