Tune in for a mindful moment with this recording by Catherine Strachan and David Hammond.

Catherine taught cello and double bass at Robert Gordon’s College in Aberdeen for nearly ten years. She is now based in York, where she enjoys a varied career as a freelance cellist and string teacher. She is also a member of various local ensembles including Leeds Baroque and York Guildhall Orchestra. In 2018 she performed Dvorak’s cello concerto with Thirsk Sinfonia. Catherine is accompanied by David Hammond, who also studied at the University of York. Catherine and David have been friends and musical collaborators since 2001. Together they have given cello and piano recitals across the north of England. Upcoming projects include a performance of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, which it is hoped will take place later this year.
